Viva La Stool: The 13 Top Moments In Barstool HQ History, Ranked
Well here we are. If you haven't read the previous 113 top moments in Barstool HQ history, you can catch up on
And now, the 13 top moments that happened within the walls of 15 W 27th street. Good times, man. Good times.
---------
13. Cleaning Person Steals $200 From Big Cat's Wallet
There's a sign when you walk into HQ that lets you know you're on camera. My man thought he was being sneaky. Spoiler alert: He was not. Because of that whole camera thing we discussed in the first sentence.
12. Zah Yells At Smitty
This was such a surreal moment. An African midget hopped up on the table and yelled at Smitty. Cue the Curb music.
11. George Brett's Entire Visit To HQ
George Brett is the man. He came to HQ and brought us BBQ, he called Brett's dad because Brett was named after him, and then he did one of the best videos we've done. Can't say one bad thing about George Brett.
10. When I Bodied YP
I was having a bad day and YP wouldn't leave me alone. I would leave to work somewhere else and he was stalking me around with the camera. It was ridiculous. Finally I had enough and I truck sticked him then threw my Starbucks cup at his face.
"Please don't hurt me"
9. When I Noogied Dave
Speaking of me, this was one of the top Rundown moments ever. Also one of the most unwise decisions of my life. I didn't even think I was doing anything wrong. We were joking around on the Rundown, and I wanted to give Dave a playoff hair ruffle on my way out. I had forgotten he had JUST gotten hair plugs (not cheap!) which weren't supposed to be touched. Oops. He was then going to noogie me for the next year, but we reached a settlement when he cut open his hand on my skull and we were both bleeding and unhappy.
8. The "Liz Mansplains" Rundown
What a great day to be in HQ. It was like a mini-Grudgement Day between Yankees fans, just eating themselves alive, with the addition of Kacey yelling at Liz on radio out of left field. But when Liz dropped the "mansplain" line on Frankie, we erupted. Everyone's reaction was perfect.
7. Riggs Yells About Syria
For some reason Dave was in a bad mood and decided to yell at people when they got to work. Feits walked in and Dave asked where he was, Feits was like "at home". Riggs though? Check your fucking time stamps.
6. The Debut of "Piss Dawgs"
I'm pretty sure PMT used to piss themselves on a weekly basis. My memory is a bit fuzzy, but it seems pissing themselves was a 6 month long storyline.
5. Robbie Doesn't Cum for 19 Straight Days
I still can't believe this happened. We monitored every day on the Rundown if our then 18 year old intern was cumming or not. Caleb claimed nobody could go 30 days without cumming, so Dave volunteered Robbie as our guinea pig. After 19 days of not cumming, he woke up with a geyser in his shorts, and a full time job not soon after.
4. Dave Fakes A Phone Call When Tiger Is About To Win The Masters
Nobody picks up a phone like that! What an amazing moment for the Foreplay boys. Dave was doing everything in his power to ruin this for them, and then he tapped out, faked a phone call..,ahem, sorry, had a family emergency, and let them celebrate Tiger's win. What makes this so great is how perfectly a 3 or so year storyline wrapped up so perfectly. It reminded me of a wrestling storyline when the underdog does the impossible and finally wins. Riggs, Trent, and Frankie stuck to their Tiger guns and it paid off in the best, greatest way possible.
3. The Loud Sean Basketball Game
Nothing will ever replicate the basketball game. The back story, the build up, the absurdity, and then the actual game itself, all of it was crazy. It was also the first time we streamed something live on our app with Pete on location, and we had no idea if it was even going to work. And boy did it work. Nothing about the game itself was good though. I remember a bunch of us sitting in the recliners, just watching, wondering what the fuck was going on. To this day, we still do not know.
2. The Flying 69
I thought about making this number 1 but I'm humble so coming in at number 2, the Flying 69! What a moment when I turned Asa upside down like the Undertaker about to give a tombstone piledriver, except this was for a completely opposite reason. The whole office erupted like never before. Many people are saying that was the moment a boy became a man. I was 27 years old at that point, but it's also 100% true.
1. GRUDGEMENT DAY
GRUDGEMENT DAY was the day every feud came to ahead at Barstool HQ. Everyone boiled over. It started with Riggs vs YP, and then YP vs me, and then of course Dave vs J Hammy and Soul Cycle. Meanwhile, 15 year old Steve and his parents were just kinda…here. We all gathered around the monitor in the middle of the office and just listened to grudge Dave break down on the radio for 2 hours. No day will ever be like GRUDGEMENT DAY.
We'll miss you HQ. The laughs, the friendships, but most of all, the chaos. Can't wait to see what ridiculous moments the next place brings. #OwnTheMoon
